This tutorial is a work in progress.....aimed at helping you set up a DNN3 portal on your development machine. 

You need to have IIS and SQL installed on your computer in order to set up a local portal.  If you don't have these tools, you can obtain them, or their functionality elsewhere.  Sorry I can't be of more help with that at this point.   If you've got them installed and working, these instructions will be a place to start if you are brand new to DotNetNuke.
